Covenant House Georgia- Because Everyone Deserves A Home
Covenant House Georgia, The Covey Guild, and A Party To Die For:
What a winning Combination!
I recently had the pleasure of attending an event that brought awareness to the reason behind Covenant House Georgia. I would like to share this information and wonderful experience with you.
The Covey Guild is a group of ladies that have a passion for Covenant House Georgia and what they stand for. Together they make a difference in the lives of so many hurting youths. Leslie opened her heart and her beautiful home for this special event, thank you to all the ladies for your help and passion in promoting this cause.
This event was just one of many, and The Covey Guild has many committees you could become a part of such as, Birthday Bash Committee, Special Events Committee, Meal Donation Outreach Committee, Life Skills Committee, Fundraising Committee, Clothing Closet Committee. Be sure to go to their website for all the information.
The event I attended was the Covey Guild event called the “Floral Fete.” One of the high lights of the evening was a demonstration on floral arranging by ” Parties to die for!”
Parties to die for is a wonderful business ran by Cathy and Tricky, two delightful ladies, who know how to transform your party into an unforgettable affair.
You watch in amazement as their floral creations become a visual treat to the eyes and add an aromatic bliss to the air. To find out more information and view the photos taken by Pear Tree photography follow this direct link Covenant House Georgia Facebook

About Covenant House:
(*Some of the information below was taken from CHGA pamphlet and website)
Covenant House has locations in many other states and some outside the states as well.
There is an invisible population living on the streets of Atlanta-Homeless youth between the ages of 18-21. These forgotten members of society are struggling every day just to survive, begging for food, money, and a safe place to sleep. Many of these youth come from abusive family backgrounds or have “aged” out of the foster care system. Too often, they do not have the education and training to make it on their own.
At Covenant House Georgia (CHGA) we provide a sanctuary for the suffering children of the street. We offer unconditional love and absolute respect to these broken souls and aim to make them whole again. We encourage these youth to believe in themselves their ability to make life-changing choices about who they are and who they would like to be in the world.

I would like to commend all the leaders and volunteers, you are making a difference! My daughter Kellie is the Director of Development and she has such a
passion for the youth. If you can’t be part of this with your time perhaps you could make a difference by giving a one-time donation or by sharing this blog to bring awareness to others who may be able to help. Here is a link to the leaders at the Atlanta branch. Leaders of Covenant House Atlanta

The Covey Guild is a women’s auxiliary group of Covenant House Georgia (CHGA). This is a group of women dedicated to meeting the needs of Atlanta’s homeless, runaway and trafficked youth by supporting the missions and the staff of CHGA. Working together with the Covey Guild CHGA can accomplish more for the youth than they could as individuals. The Covey Guild dues provide educational and social enrichment opportunities for the CHGA residents.
These youth have been ignored and forgotten but the Covey’s support demonstrates to our youth that they are not alone.(To Join, visit their website or email email@example.com )
An unexpected coincidence
Last night I was watching the TLC Channel and saw a makeover of a room at the Covenant House Hollywood California. If you would like to see it, the program was Nate & Jeremiah by Design. Here is a link to a clip. TLC Covenant House California makeover

We may not always agree on everything but we can agree that Love is always the right choice.
1 John 4:7-10 King James Version (KJV)
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
A very special thank you to my daughter Kellie for inviting me to this event, I know Covenant House is near and dear to your heart. I am more than proud of you and I thank God for you every day! I love you very much♥
