Are you clothed with confidence
Are you clothed with confidence, dignity, and grace? Proverbs 31:25.
It’s easy as Women to look in the mirror and only see our faults. Sometimes we are our own worst critic. We compare ourselves to other women that we think look prettier or are the size we used to be and would like to be again, but the word says comparing ourselves to others is not wise. Galatians 6: 4- Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. Comparing can steal your confidence.
The Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself, (Matthew 22:39) are you loving yourself like you should?
We need to see ourselves the way God wants us to, through our Fathers eyes… as his masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. A masterpiece is valuable and a one of a kind.
Are you clothing yourself in strength and dignity, or do you tear yourself down with your own thoughts? We need to tell ourselves every day what God’s word says about us.
Stand in front of your mirror each day, look at yourself and say. “I am a masterpiece, I am valuable, I am strong, I matter, I have confidence, I am an overcomer.” We need to hear yourself say this because we believe in ourselves more than anyone else.
We have the power to change within us. Do not sit on the sofa waiting for a hero to come along and make you do what you need to do …YOU, with God’s help, can be your own Shero!
Where To Start
First think about what your goals are, next write down the steps to get you closer to meeting that goal. Example: I want to lose 20 pounds…. steps to take: 1. Get more active by walking, going to the gym or doing yoga at home. 2. Eat smaller portions and choose healthier options. 3. Drink more water 4. wear my fit bit…
Whatever your goal is start with the end results in mind, then make a game plan, set yourself up to succeed, invest in yourself!
Add yourself To Your “To Do” List
We all need to show ourselves some Grace, be kind, and yes, love yourself. It’s more than alright to put yourself on your “to do” list because you matter! Be a good role model and set a good example for your family and friends to follow. Isn’t your mother’s daughter worth loving and worthy of being taken care of, how about your husbands’ wife, your child’s mother, the king of kings daughter? They all make up who we are, as women, we are a lot of things to a lot of people. You may not identify with all of these roles listed so make your own. Just you standing alone is very valuable.
You matter more than you know. Making changes is not easy, but anything worth doing usually isn’t. Get started. You can do it. You can reach your goal! He has plans for us…to do good things.
Let yourself dream again, have hope, be strong, be courageous! His word says that he sets before us life and death and then he tells us which one to choose… Life!
One choice at a time, one goal at a time, one day at a time.
We have one life to live. Don’t look at the time that is in your past, look at the future – the time you have left. Good health is important. Beauty starts on the inside, that’s why God looks at our heart.
We are of value, a wonderful woman of God shared this and it’s worth sharing again :
The word for the day. God says you are accepted, you are also valuable. How much do you think you are worth? I am not talking about your net worth. I am talking about your self-worth. Don’t ever confuse your valuables with your value as a person. The old song I am singing today says: ” I am rich in faith. in hope and in love. I’ve got more than my share. Praise God I am rich beyond compare.
